Haddon Hall

Nestled above the River Wye near Bakewell, Haddon Hall is one of England’s most enchanting and best-preserved medieval manor houses. With origins dating back over 900 years, its tapestry of Gothic windows, Elizabethan long gallery, and Tudor courtyard offers a rare glimpse into centuries of craftsmanship and noble life.

Often called “the most perfect house to survive from the Middle Ages,” Haddon has starred in numerous films, including Jane Eyre, The Princess Bride, Elizabeth, and Pride & Prejudice. Visitors can explore its romantic gardens, admire rare 15th-century frescoes, and enjoy seasonal events like artisan markets and musical performances.
